Synopsis
Lesté des meilleures valeurs morales, le jeune Wyatt Earp étudie le droit, épouse son amour de jeunesse, Urilla, et compte bien fonder benoîtement une famille dans le Missouri. La typhoïde qui emporte brutalement Urilla dévaste sa vie et ses projets. Après avoir plongé dans la déchéance, il est rappelé au sens de sa dignité par son père. Il part pour Wichita, puis Dodge City, où, pour la première fois, l'étoile de shérif brille sur sa poitrine. Il se forge une réputation d'intransigeance qui le suit à Tombstone, la ville de l'Ouest où il s'installe avec ses frères, dans l'intention d'y monter une affaire. Il se lie d'amitié avec un joueur alcoolique et tuberculeux, Doc Holiday. Une belle reconstitution charpentée autour de personnages légendaires de l'Ouest américain.
