Synopsis
Jim Caldwell vient d'être affecté au commandement d'une base aérienne atomique, reliée au Strategic Air Command par le téléphone rouge. Il doit préparer ses hommes à une dure inspection, qui a fait virer le commandant précédent. Perturbé par le poids de ses responsabilités, il va montrer à ses hommes et à sa femme un tout nouveau visage.
