Synopsis
1917. Blessé lors des combats en Europe, le sergent Michael Dunne est rapatrié au Canada. A l'hôpital, il rencontre Sarah, une jeune infirmière dont il tombe amoureux. Lorsque le jeune frère de Sarah, s'enrôle pour combattre, Michael repart au front pour le protéger. Comme des milliers d'autres soldats, ils vont prendre part à la terrible bataille de Passchendaele.
