Synopsis
En 1988, Paul Ashworth, professeur d'anglais de trente ans, suit avec passion la carriere du club de football d'Arsenal. Mordu au dernier degre, sa vie est tout entiere placee sous le signe du ballon rond, jusqu'au jour ou il rencontre une collegue, Sarah, dont le rigorisme pointilleux lui rappelle celui du manager du club, George Graham. En depit de tout ce qui les separe, tous deux nouent une idylle mouvementee.
